I received a scholarship from the Spanish government to be a Language & Cultural Assistant in Castilla-La Mancha. My job will be to help a teacher with the spoken English language, conduct cultural activities and do presentations on American culture.
Castilla-La Mancha is one of the 17 autonomous communities of Spain. Toledo is the capitol of Castilla-La Mancha and the region is famous for being the setting of the famous Spanish novel Don Quixote by Cervantes.
My placement is in a high school in Ciudad Real or "Royal City". Ciudad Real is less than an hour from Madrid by train. SO, anyone who wants to visit me can just fly to Madrid and get train ticket from The Renfe. or I can meet you in Madrid for the weekend!! Let me know!
